A multi-agency Indian team is present in Dominica to track the progression. Ahead of the hearing, the Indian authorities said they had gathered documents including his Aadhaar, Permanent Account Number (PAN), and ration card to prove that the fugitive businessman never gave up his Indian citizenship. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will also file an application before the Dominican court. A top government official told India Today that the ED would submit details of the crime committed by Mehul Choksi and on what grounds he should be deported to India.
