In his RTI response, he said that the centre has used newborn calf serum in the Covaxin. In another tweet, Pandhi said that the BJP government should not "betray the faith & belief of people". He added that if Covaxin or any other vaccine has "cow-calf serum", people have the right to know. In response to the pandhi, the BJP spokesperson, Sambit Patra has said the Congress party is spreading the lies and the Congress party is giving the subject a Communal spin. He further said Covaxin is safe for people to use.
