Residents of Mumbai’s Kandivali housing society claimed that they were scammed with fake vaccines for Rs 1260 each. Over 390 residents booked their slots with the facilitator and paid Rs 5 lakhs in total to them. They received Covishield vaccines as a part of the camp, and the facilitator claimed to be a representative of the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. Amid the ongoing shortage of vaccinations in the country, several cases of fraud and misuse of the procured doses have been coming forward.
