A delegation of Trinamool Congress (TMC) has met President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday afternoon and demanded the removal of Tushar Mehta from the post of Solicitor General of India. Earlier, Trinamool Congress MPs had also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding the removal of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to meet BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari of West Bengal. A Trinamool leader said, "A delegation of Trinamool Congress MPs will directly approach the President and inform him about the meeting between Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari." That MPs Sukhendu Shekhar Rai and Mahua Moitra will meet the President.
