The opposition parties earlier disrupted the parliamentary proceedings seeking a fair probe in the Pegasus Spygate, but the Congress leaders have now been pressuring the BJP government to revoke the three black farm laws, which were rolled out in 2020. The drama was witnessed in the Rajya Sabha on August 10, when Congress MP tried to throw the rulebook placed ahead of the Speaker of the House. While the BJP has called out the unruly behaviour of the opposition leaders, Congress has extended support to its members who demanded that the farm laws should be repealed.
