The stubble burning cases against the farmers will now be withdrawn. The announcement came in a meet which was held yesterday between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and the farmers in the state. Further, the Uttar Pradesh government has also announced that the purchase price of cane will be hiked. In the meeting where the issues of farmers were addressed, the Yogi government also assured farmers that they will not face any disruption in their electricity connection even if some of their dues are pending. This meeting holds importance ahead of the assembly elections in 2022.
