An FIR has now been registered against Nand Kumar Baghel after he called Brahmins foreigners and demanded their boycott. The complaint was filed by Sarv Brahman Samaj on September 2nd. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has now commented on the controversy and stated that even though he respects his father, but he will act on the controversy, owing to the position he is currently holding in the state of Chhattisgarh. Bhupesh Baghel in his statement further adds that no individual is above the law and it is the responsibility of every individual to maintain communal harmony.
