The paver blocks laid two months ago have not only chipped off but have been dislodged, and the colour has withered off. Speaking to the Urban Development Department, they tell Mirror Now that the contractor Yoga and Co were fined and asked to replace the paver blocks and redo the entire street as planned by the department without any irregularities. The stretch, which has been developed under the Smart City Project, costs around 5.4 crore rupees. However, the contractor is now spending around 80 lakhs replacing the paver blocks with the new ones.
