The Supreme Court has taken Sup Moto Cognisance and asked the Uttar Pradesh status report by tomorrow. It has been 5 days since the barbaric act took place, SITs are being set up, however, zero arrests have been made by the UP Police in the case so far. The Apex Court has asked the government to provide the details of the accused, the FIRs lodged and the actions taken against them. A lawyer who wrote to the Chief Justice of India, drawing Court's attention towards this matter had accused the UP government for not carrying out the probe in a serious manner.
