The excise duty on diesel will reduce by Rs 10, and on petrol by Rs 5. The new prices are expected to be in effect from Thursday. On Wednesday, petrol price in Delhi stands at Rs 110.04 per litre while diesel is available for Rs 98.42. In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 115.85 while diesel costs Rs 106.62. The oil prices in the global markets dropped on Wednesday. With the rising fuel prices in the country, the Centre on Tuesday, announced a reduction of excise duty on petrol and diesel. “BJP has looted the country since 2014 and selling companies, airports, oils, transports, railways etc. of India," says Arspreet Singh Kadiyal, Spokesperson Punjab Congress.
