The information was published on Twitter by the Kashmir Zone Police. "Kupwara EncounterUpdate: The assassinated terrorist has been identified as a Pakistani with ties to the banned terrorist group LeT. 2-3 additional militants, as well as a captured terrorist, are being held hostage in an ongoing confrontation, according to Kashmir police. After obtaining information about a captured militant, Showket Ahmed Sheikh, hiding in the Lolab region of Kupwara, Kupwara Police and Army's 28RR began a coordinated anti-terrorist operation. Terrorists opened fire on the combined search parties while security personnel searched the hideouts, and our squad retaliated.
