The latest update has come from Kerala after the monkeypox scare has reached India. A passenger on a Sharjah-Kerala Indigo flight was found infected with the monkeypox virus, the country's first case. The Health Ministry Of Kerala has issued a special alert in 5 districts of Kerala, as the co-passengers on the flight were from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Pathanamthitta, respectively. On Thursday, the Centre wrote to the states to take the precautions needed against the spread and to also trace, test, and treat if by chance there are any cases. For now, Kerala's Health Minister has said there is nothing to panic about. The alert has been issued to ensure safety. Keep watching Mirror Now for more updates.
