YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has urged Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to make it mandatory for all imported goods and e-commerce products to bear the country of origin label. The move comes after Delhi traders protested against Chinese products during the India-China standoff at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. Even if people are opposed to purchasing a Chinese product, they do so because the country of origin is not stated on the product, he adds. "If the country of origin is written on the product, then Indians can boycott Chinese goods. "The central government should work on such a policy, and the central government should also change its e-commerce and import policies," Goyal said.
