30:07Now PlayingIn this episode of The Urban Debate, the host Shreya Dhoundial will be discussing how there have lately been two horrifying reports of crimes against female visitors in Kerala and Goa. A South Korean woman claims that while visiting Kozhikode, Kerala, she was sexually attacked. The woman was detained by security guards at Calicut International Airport, according to the police, because she lacked the necessary documentation. She had entered the city on a tourist visa in December and arrived at the airport on Friday to depart for South Korea. In a related incident, the driver of a tempo traveller is accused of sexually assaulting a Mumbai student travelling to Goa on holiday. The defendant was taken into custody.

"In connivance with state admin, there are many illegal taxi services in Goa - just because govt wants to earn money. These are the people who commit crimes," said Kirti Azad, Goa TMC In-charge.
"Nirbhaya Fund is not being used properly by the Kerala govt. Women's safety has been derailed in the state," said Congress MP Jebi Mather.
"The ministers are saying that women should take care of themselves. Why should the responsibility lie on us? It depends on the govt & police," said MonkeyInc, Travel Vlogger.
