5:36Now PlayingIn this episode of Mirror Metro, the host Shreya Dhoundial will be discussing how north and north-west India is experiencing a cold wave as the mercury dropped significantly and cities and towns recorded maximum temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius. Delhi and a number of other cities in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan are shrouded in fog. In several parts of the national capital Delhi, visibility was reduced to 50 meters by thick fog. Over the next three days, these locations will continue to be foggy, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). As the minimum temperature dropped to 4 degrees Celsius, the IMD proclaimed a cold wave.

"No, it's cold. There is no doubt about it. The maximum, as well as minimum temperatures, are 3 to 5 degrees below normal," said Anand Sharma, Ex-ADG, IMD.
