Now PlayingOver 15 million people in the northeast US brace for a “once-in-a-generation” Arctic blast. Experts warn frigid weather could bring record-breaking low temperatures. Wind-chill warnings were posted for most of New York state and all six New England states - Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. An Arctic cold front is expected to bring wind chills of minus 45 degrees in parts of northern New England. A combination of numbing cold and biting winds gripping the Northeast would pose life-threatening conditions well into the weekend, say experts.
