The 20-year-old chef told the Microsoft co-founder that he had recently returned from Bihar, where he had learned how to make roti from scratch. With his desi knowledge intact, the chef began by teaching Bill how to make roti dough. Eitan poured wheat flour, salt, and water into a mixing bowl, which Bill then kneaded with a spatula. The duo went in to roll out the rotis after finishing the preparations. While neither was perfect, Eitan's batch fared better than Bill's, who couldn't even draw a circle. The rotis were then cooked on a tava and slathered in ghee.
