Feb 3, 202318:38Now PlayingIn this episode of Urban Debate with Shreya Dhoundial, the anchor will be discussing Mumbai’s AQI worst than Delhi's. Mumbai began February with extremely poor air quality. On Wednesday, the city's air quality index (AQI) remained very poor,' at 303, nearly three times worse than Delhi's (118). On two occasions in January, there were five consecutive bad air days, and the city's AQI remained lower than the capital's on at least four occasions. Scientists have known for years that there is a link between air pollution and lung disease, and possibly heart disease. Air pollution, according to new research, may increase the risk of stroke, cognitive decline, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and Parkinson's disease. It may even harm young children's developing brains. The guest for this episode, Indrani M (V Can) said, “If we look out from the point of environment then a lot of introspection has to happen”.
