Karnataka-born Justice Nazeer served as a judge on the Karnataka High Court. Nazeer practised law in the High Court before being named an extra judge of the Karnataka High Court in 2003. He afterwards was appointed as a permanent judge of the Karnataka High Court. Curiously, justice Nazeer also rendered a ruling in favour of Ram Mandir in 2019 with a 5-0 majority, putting an end to the protracted legal dispute.
