In response to Dorsey's assertions, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that when he was in office, Twitter engaged in "repeated and continuous violations of Indian law" and occasionally "weaponized misinformation." It also comes at a time when there is a growing discussion on the site about how it supports free speech ideals and there are calls in several nations to limit Twitter's power.
