Karnataka deputy chief minister and Bengaluru incharge D.K Shivakumar directed that all the encroachments should be cleared. Especially those the strom water drains. The BBMP has identified 571 encroachments in 8 zones and has surveyed about 110 properties. Meanwhile, the residents of Bengaluru are resisting the demolition. They say the demolition should not be carried out as the matter is in court.
