YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn today's episode of The Urban Debate host Samia Kapoor will be discussing cars being towed away in Delhi. It is the second week of the Mirror Now campaign 'Old Car Not Bekaar' and still no actions have been taken by the Delhi government regarding the issue. Private vehicles are being lifted without any notice by the government to their owners. Vehicles are being lifted from outside people's homes and offices. These vehicles are being impounded by Delhi's transport department and taken to scrapyards. Nearly 55 lakh vehicles in Delhi have been deregistered so far. The Delhi government says they are simply implementing what the NGT and Supreme Court have asked them to do concerning over-wedged vehicles.
We are joined by a few panelists. "There should be kilometre and age-based criteria in the car scrap policy," said Sachin Taparia.
