22:29Now PlayingOn today's Outkick the show, Clay Travis discussed how focusing on football not Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, protests, and far-left politics made NFL ratings increase.
Clay Travis said NFL ratings were up 5% this year. What does this tell us. The previous two seasons NFL ratings were down 19%. And all of the fans out there in the came around and said this is inaccurate, it is because of cord-cutting, it is because people are watching television less.
Clay Travis said that the networks -- especially ESPN (MSESPN) got smart, stopped covering the Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, protests, and NFL ratings went up. It’s not rocket science and never was. People were turned off by ESPN (MSESPN) and “woke football.” The NFL went woke, went broke, and now they’re back.
Clay Travis said for the last two years ESPN's (MSESPN) NFL coverage and other networks focused on Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, and protests otherwise known as woke football instead of NFL football and ratings plummeted. But as soon as the networks (ESPN (MSESPN) and others realized that woke football was unprofitable and started covering the actual NFL football games, the ratings would increase.
Clay Travis also discussed the Reuben Foster, the former linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, situation. Prosecutors said there was insufficient evidence to file charges against Reuben Foster after "a meticulous review of the facts of the case.
Reuben Foster was arrested following the charge and immediately dropped by the San Francisco 49ers after the charge was made late last year. The former San Francisco 49ers linebacker was then picked up by the Washington Redskins.
Clay Travis said, "If you listen to all of the left-wingers #BelieveAllWomen in sports media. Reuben Foster’s career would be over. No one would have ever signed him. Props to the Washington Redskins for not believing all women, for actually doing an investigation, realizing this woman was a liar, and supporting Reuben Foster when he was falsely accused and falsely charged with a crime."
As for the drama surrounding Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, Clay Travis on Outkick the Show and Outkick the Coverage said, "Get rid of Antonio Brown now. Trade Antonio Brown. Trade him. Trade him. Get value for him. Reclaim your locker room. Take control of your overall franchise. The Rooney’s deserve better. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers, not the Kardashians.”
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has been a dumpster fire. Most recently Antonio Brown refused to show up to practice after an argument with Ben Roethlisberger.
Clay Travis then ranked the top eight jobs in the NFL for new head coaches. He ranked the teams from 1 - 8.
Cleveland Browns because of Baker Mayfield
New York Jets because of Sam Darnold
Green Bay Packers
Arizona Cardinals
Denver Broncos
Cincinnati Bengals
Miami Dolphins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
