After a concerning mental health episode, 49 year old Esmin Green was brought into the psychiatric hospital by emergency medical services (EMS). Loved ones expected for this to be a routine visit in the hospital for schizophrenia treatment. But what everyone thought would be a trip to help get Esmin better unfortunately turned into the unexpected. Esmin was left to wait in the emergency room of the hospital for over 24 hours. And during that entire day, nobody detected the serious physical issue she was dealing with. Esmin would soon end up collapsing onto the hospital floor. And she would lay there, face down and motionless for an entire hour, as doctors, nurses and staff members watched, yet nobody decided to help.
