After an outbreak of HIV infections linked to a New Mexico spa, the CDC and Department of Health issued warnings to the entire city of Albuquerque to get tested. Maria de Lourdes Ramos de Ruiz offered hundreds of clients ‘Vampire Facials’ at her VIP Beauty Salon and Spa - a procedure seen done by physicians on many celebrities, most notably being Kim Kardashian. But after thorough inspection, investigators would soon make shocking discoveries about the conditions this business was running in, and they would reveal the many the secrets Maria kept from her clients for several years.
