In this episode, I break down what it means when the Golan Heights simply disappear from the map of Syria issued by the current power in Damascus. If the Golan is not even drawn as Syrian land anymore, is this a quiet political concession to Israel and to Washington’s 2019 recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the plateau?
We’ll examine Jolani’s latest message, recorded in a studio with a blue chroma pretending to be Qasioun, where he congratulates Syrians on the lifting of US unilateral measures and thanks Trump by name, but completely ignores Trump’s own public boasting that he “gave” the Golan to Israel.
