After almost a year of killing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank indiscriminately, this past week Israel has upped the ante even further by assassinating the leader of Hezbollah, and murdering hundreds of innocent Lebanese in the process. Earlier this week, Israel also began its invasion of Lebanon with a number of Israeli troops crossing the border into Lebanon.
After weeks of the Biden administration claiming that it was 90% of the way to a ceasefire, things look far worse than they have in …. decades really . All of this was enough for Iran, America and Israel’s “big bad guy” in the middle east, to break from its policy of strategic reserve and to launch a large battery of ballistic missiles at Israel.
It’s unclear what damage was done but the U.S. did intercept a number of the missiles and there is one person confirmed dead as a result. Either way the pretext and ground have been laid for more Israeli attacks on multiple countries in the region. And yet, they say they’re surrounded by hostile actors? Where all of this is going is anyone's guess, but it sure doesn’t look like the Biden administration is doing anything but fully supporting Israel as it careens from one war crime to the next.
