So… Trump Is Going To Get Away With ALL His Crimes?

A criminal has achieved the only true get out of jail free card in the American constitutional system: becoming President of these United States. Despite the concept that “no one is above the law” the presidency is quite literally designed to be above the law, and recent Supreme Court decisions have only supercharged this glaring loophole. Despite inciting a riot to overthrow the legitimate results of the 2020 election, despite numerous war crimes (but who are we kidding every president gets away with those), despite stealing classified material, despite being a convicted sexual predator with even more allegations than just about anyone, he is going to be able to get away with all that and whatever other horrific activities he gets up to over the next four years.

Special Counsel Jack Smith has officially requested that Judge Tanya Chutkin drop the pending cases around January 6th, and that request has been granted. Along with a request to dismiss the charges that Trump had improperly handled classified materials, it looks like Trump’s caper is all wrapped up. Although the door was left open to prosecute him on these charges in the future, there are statute of limitations and of course, SOMEHOW, he is immune while in office.
