4:01Now PlayingFox News host Lawrence Jones says that he is trying to secure an interview with the border agent that was seen "whipping" Haitian migrants at the border with the reins from his horse, and Jones went as far as to dismiss these actions as "crowd control" techniques. Fox News has defended some terrible behavior by the government in the past, but this is truly one of the more disturbing instances in recent memory. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Fox news is still trying to excuse the actions of the border patrol agents who were caught on video earlier this week whipping or at least attempting to whip Haitian migrants trying to cross the US border through the Rio Grande. And of course terrorizing them as well with their 2000 pound horses that they were riding. So it's not just about the whipping. It's about essentially using this massive animal to scare these people and to frighten them off and to basically threaten them as well. Here's the thing though. Fox news still thinks it's totally cool. And this week Fox host Lawrence Jones went one step further, not just defending it, but saying, hey, this is basic crowd control. Here's what he said. It was not a whip. They never touched those Haitian population with the reins of the horse. That is a way to control the horse and how you progress the horse forward. Also that is a crowd control tactic.
Now I'm gonna go ahead and stop you right there, pal. Whipping individuals. No, I'm sorry. That is not a crowd control tactic. I mean, sure, sure, sure. Things like that have been used in the past and it's still illegal if, if you do that. Not to mention you don't control your horse by taking the reins and slapping them at another human being, whether you hit the person or not is irrelevant. That's not how you control the horse as you said it was. You know, you, you pull the reins, you loosen the reins, you pull them this, you pull them that. Have you, you never been on a horse before I'm assuming there, Mr. Jones. He continues. Do not train the border patrol agents to do that and then when they do it, you want to put them on leave. I don't think that's fair. And also this was done to the Mexican population as well. Anybody that's come across the border, that same tactic has been used. No one got hit by it.
So it's cool if we do it to Mexicans too, like it's not just the Haitians, we're doing it to Mexican. So it can't be terrible. I'm not following your train of thought there. But then, then it gets even screwier. I'm trying to get an interview with him exclusive to Fox and Friends. Oh, so you want to get the whipper, right? You want to get the guy from the video seen trying to, trying to hit those people with the reins of his horse. You know, to hear his side of the story, which I'm sure is going to make it all seem totally fine and everything's great and wonderful. And you know, we're just trying to protect the border here, down here in Texas. Right. No, this is cruel. This is inhumane. Crossing the border illegally is a misdemeanor offense and the Biden administration bears the responsibility of this. You know, what's really funny to me though, is that you would think this is actually something the Fox news people would say, hey, good on Biden for doing right.
I mean, you guys have attacked him for his immigration policies, allegedly having these open borders. And now here we have the people at customs and border patrol who are technically working for the Biden administration. And yet you're not giving Biden any credit for it. Hmm. Gee, I wonder why that is. You love the cruelty under Trump. But now that Biden's doing it, you just love the cruelty. Not the guy who's perpetrating it, right? It doesn't matter if it's a Democrat or Republican. It doesn't matter if they're whipping a Haitian or a Mexican. This is wrong.
