Republican Contenders Whine ‘I’m Tired Of Losing’ As They Mull Challenging Trump In 2024

The entire Republican Party received a wake-up call last week as the midterm results rolled in, and it looks like many of them took that call to heart. They are starting to understand that Trump has been a drain on the Party since he entered politics, and they are now whining to the press that they are "tired of losing!" They've lost considerably since Trump came along, and now they are courting his donors and planning to challenge him in 2024, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Donald Trump faces an uphill battle as he tries to run for president again in 2024, because most Republicans, especially those in positions of power, are sick of it. And they're not just sick of him, they're sick of what he does to the party simply by existing

Chris Christie, who of course is seen as somebody who may run in 2024. Honestly, I want Chris Christie to run because I, I've seen what he does to other Republicans on that debate stage. Even though he's a horrible person, he's also a pretty good bully and he's good at taking out these other Republicans. So I want Chris Christie to run, just to serve as a foil. But Chris Christie recently had this to say, How about this? When Donald Trump won in 2016, he said we were going to get so tired of winning. We would ask him to stop winning so much in 2018. We lose the house in 2020. We lose the Senate and the White House in 2021. We lose two winnable Senate seats in Georgia. And in 2022, we vastly underperform historic norms given inflation and gas prices and crime, and a president at 40%, um, tired of losing. The only winning that has been done since Donald Trump has been president is for Donald Trump. That's what you tell people.

That's actually not a bad message, right? If you can put that in an ad, right? Okay, listen, let's assume for a second that I've suddenly lost all my morals and all my values and I'm a Republican now, and all I wanna do is beat Donald Trump. That's what I put in the ad. And I do think that's brilliant. Trump couldn't technically beat Hillary Clinton in the popular vote in 2016. You lost the house with the blue wave in 2018, you lost the Senate and the White House in 2020, you lost the two Georgia Senate seats. Probably gonna lose one again in on December 6th. You may not get control of the house. You didn't win back control of the Senate. Donald Trump is a loser. He is a drain on the party. He is not a winner, but he's got lots of people out on the boat. Parades fantastic. That means nothing other than the fact that he's selling a lot of Trump flags and Trump hats because he is the only one winning.

And that's why after reading you that statement, I say that I do want Chris Christie to run. Chris Christie is a good foil. He is the kind of guy that's not gonna hold back. He's gonna go for broke against all of these other Republicans. He is probably the best chance to get, uh, Ron DeSantis so flustered during a debate that it just ends his political career as we know it. And he kind of did it to Marco Rubio, right? Rubio, his presidential ambitions were killed by Chris Christie in those 2015 debates. Christie could easily do that with Ron DeSantis. He might be able to do it to Lindsay Graham. He'll definitely be able to do it against Donald Trump. I think this time they know how to go after him. They know how to get under his skin. He is no longer unbeatable, right? Those debates that did take place in the summer and fall of 2015 with the Republicans, that was a different thing.

Nobody knew how Trump would act. Nobody knew what he was gonna do. And by the time you figured it out, it was too late. He had already won and he had taken a lot of Republicans down with him. Jeb Bush, Everybody going into it thought Jeb Bush was gonna run away with it. Nope. Trump made sure that didn't happen. But now Republicans know how to make sure Trump doesn't happen. They've got the messaging, they just need to get busy on it. Time's wasting guys. He's in it now. Where are you at? Get those ads going.
