Conservative pundit, and Trump ally, Megyn Kelly admitted this week that Donald Trump's presidential announcement was so boring that it actually put her to sleep, literally. She tried to excuse it by saying that her kids do wake her up early, but the fact remains that Trump didn't have the same "energy" that he normally does, which Kelly also mentioned. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains Trump's poor performance and why so many right wingers tuned it out.

One of Donald Trump's on, again, off again allies. Megan Kelly admitted this week that after Donald Trump's, or actually during Donald Trump's presidential announcement on Tuesday evening, right in the middle of it, she fell asleep. It was so boring that she couldn't keep her eyes open. And she says she literally fell asleep, right? She wasn't speaking metaphorically like, oh man, that was so boring. I fell asleep during it. No, she says, I literally dozed off because there was no energy in what Trump was saying. Here is Megan Kelly's full statement here. I'm not going to lie, I did fall asleep before the end of the hour. Now I'm getting old and my kids wake me up early, but I did doze off, and that's just unprecedented for a Trump rally. She says, is it though, like, have you, have you not been paying attention for the last like six months to what happens at Trump rallies?

See, this is what gets me. Everybody who's been paying attention, which apparently was nobody on the Republican side, realized how bad that speech was, and of course, why security guards had to block people from being able to leave, cuz people wanted to leave. Trump's security guards were instructed to not let that happen because Trump's people knew it was gonna happen. So they had to preemptively be like, no, no, no, no, you can't get outta here. But we have seen video footage of Trump rallies from this past month, from two months ago throughout the summer, where as soon as Donald Trump gets about 10, 15 minutes into his speech, the room starts clearing out. We talked about those. We showed the videos of people filing out the doors while Donald Trump was speaking. That's not a coincidence.

They left because he has nothing new to say. They showed up at these rallies to hear the other, you know, the opening acts basically speak. But then once the main event came on, they're like, oh my God, I've heard these songs a hundred times. I don't care anymore. I'm outta here. I beat the traffic by leaving early. We've seen the footage, folks. So what happened Tuesday night was not unprecedented. As Megan Kelly said. It's what is happening more and more frequently, every time Donald Trump gets up there to speak, oh, I had an election stolen from me. Oh, president Biden sucks. Oh, the Democrats are bad. Something about Nancy Pelosi, hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, and the crowd is just sitting there like, oh my God, we get it. Do you have new material if Trump can't even hold his base's attention?

How do you think that plays for people out there that don't like him? Or maybe even somebody that's on the fence about him? I can't imagine anybody in this country being like, oh, I don't know how I feel about Trump. Like everybody should know at this point how you feel about Trump. But believe it or not, there are some people that are on the fence, but if they're watching this guy and they're getting bored and they're like, oh my God, he's still on this, you're not gonna attract new people and you're sure not gonna win a general election when all you can pull is your base that is already very bored with you.
