During an interview before he was reinstated on Twitter, Trump was asked about how he felt regarding Elon Musk's purchase of the platform. After showering the Tesla CEO with praise, Trump then tried to plug his own media outlet, only he struggled to remember the name of it. That isn't exactly a vote of confidence for anyone considering making a move, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

During an interview over this past weekend, Donald Trump, while speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition, was asked about Elon Musk allowing him back on Twitter. Now, this interview actually happened shortly before Elon Musk said, okay, Trump can come back, and he reinstated his account. But Trump, while trying to say that truth social was so much better than Twitter, somehow forgot the name of his own social media site. So here is a very confused Donald Trump stumbling through his answer because he forgot his own company. Take a look. What

Do you think about, uh, Elon Musk buying Twitter? And if you are reinstated, will we see you back on Twitter again?

Well, I like that he bought it. I've always liked him. I got along with him very well, uh, during my days as president, and I got to know him pretty well. Uh, but I do like him. I've, I've always really, you know, he is a, he's a character and, uh, I tend to like characters, but he's smart. Uh, he did put up a poll, and I hear it's very overwhelming, very strong, but I have something called Trump, if you look at trombone, but it's, uh, it's really fantastic. Truth, social and truth social, uh, is, is through the roof. It's doing phenomenally well. The press hates to talk about it, but it's doing phenomenally well. I think engagement is much better than it is with Twitter.

Yeah, it's a, it's a Trump, uh, I mean, it's, it's a Trump owned property. Truth, truth, social is what it's called. Yeah. There, no, you see, what this tells me is that Trump always wanted it to be called Trump Social. Like that's what I got immediately out of that little clip. He totally wanted it to be called Trump Social, but I'm, I'm assuming obviously the people around him were like, well, we can't just name it after you, man. It's gotta be more, uh, more, more get show. We gotta get some people. He's like, but I've already spelled out the t u, what are we gonna call it? They said, uh, what about truth Social, I guess? I would like to think that is the story of how the name truth, social came to be. Now, as I mentioned, Donald Trump, of course, has been allowed back on Twitter.

His account is active. You can go there, see his profile, real Donald Trump, but he swears he's not gonna use Twitter, right? He's gonna stick with true social. He's convinced himself that it's somehow better than Twitter, even though it is dying by every possible metric. And now Elon Musk has spent the last two days go Donald Trump into coming back to Twitter. But here's what's funny about these two morons, Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Elon Musk is watching as this thing that he bought. Twitter is going down the toilet. He's like, oh God, what do I do? So he led a bunch of weirdos back on the site, right? Jordan Peterson, uh, uh, project Veritas, Donald Trump. And he thought, okay, this, you know, we're gonna create some con Kanye West, one of 'em too. We're gonna create some controversy, right? People are gonna get jazzed up, they're gonna be mad, they're gonna be angry, they're gonna be talking, they're gonna be using Twitter.

That was Elon Musk's goal. And it's pretty transparent that that's what he was trying to do. Trump, on the other hand, would love nothing more than to start tweeting again. He knows that is where he is most relevant, but he is now backed into a corner because he can't, right?
