Conservative social media platform Parler announced that they would no longer be selling themselves to Kanye West shortly after his antisemitic tirade during an appearance on Alex Jones' show. The platform swears that they actually came to this decision - mutually - a month ago, but they just waited to announce it AFTER the recent publicity problems. That smells fishy, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousin explains.

On Thursday evening, uh, hours after Kanye West, of course appeared on Alex Jones' program where he praised Hitler and said, I like Nazis parlor. The conservative social media platform announced that they have decided along with Kanye West, that, uh, they're no longer gonna be selling to him. Now, the timing of this announcement, of course, wasn't really that suspicious. Obviously, his appearance on Alex Jones, as well as his comments throughout the week before had had been, uh, uh, pretty, pretty bad, pretty antisemitic, and uh, only getting worse. But what is suspicious is the fact that Parlor said, we actually came to this decision along with Kanye mutually, uh, a month ago, right? Like last month before Thanksgiving. Uh, we had already decided we weren't gonna do this. We all came to that decision. So I, I don't know what everybody's freaking out about. And I have a counterpoint to that. And the counterpoint is, um.
If you came to this decision, right, it was announced in October, Kanye was gonna buy Parlor, and then a couple weeks later, like not even a full month later, you allegedly behind closed doors after making the public decision, after making headlines that you are gonna sell to him behind closed doors, you mutually come to a decision and say, yeah, we're not doing this. And then you don't tell anybody for three or four weeks until after he goes full Nazi and praises Hitler, right? Like that, that timing is what is now suspicious because I don't personally believe for a second that Parlor came to this decision weeks ago and just, oops, slipped our mind. We forgot to tell everybody. Bull unless Parlor is able to provide to me personally, hand delivered a set of documents showing that not only was this decision made in mid-November, but I would also like it notarized so that I know they're not forged.
Um, unless you can do that, I'm not going to believe you and I don't think anybody else should either. If you don't wanna sell to Kanye because he's antisemitic, more power to you, that's the right decision. But then to try to pull the wool over our eyes and be like, well, we actually, uh, I actually came, you know, decided a month ago we weren't gonna do it. We just, again, didn't get around to telling anybody cuz we didn't think it was important, I guess. No, you made headlines when the sale was announced, right? National Media across the country was covering it like, oh my God, they're selling to Kanye West. Did you, did you not think it was important to follow up and be like, Hey, by the way, we've already decided it's not gonna happen. Or did you suddenly realize, oh my God, this guy is toxic. We've
Gotta, gotta make sure people know. Cuz you could have done it at any point. You could have done it at any point prior to, by the way, his appearance on Alex Jones, but you didn't do it. Which of course, as I said, immediately throws all of this into question about how honest the management at Parlor is being with us. And based on the content that Parlor allows on their site, I'm willing to bet they're not being honest with us at all.
