3:59Now PlayingRatings are taking a dive at Fox News after they suffered what might be the worst month that the company has ever had since they began broadcasting. Not only did they have to pay out $787 million to Dominion Voting Systems, but they had to fire the most popular host on any cable news network over text messages that were so disturbing the network thought they would never recover if they were released. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening, and why the network deserves every bit of it.

Well, folks, we are now officially a few days into May at this point, and Fox News is coming off the worst month that the network has probably ever had since its inception. Now, I don't want to take anything away from the big Bill o Riley scandals. I don't want take anything away from the Roger Ales scandals, but the number of scandals and just terrible things that happened to Fox News in the month of April really does take the cake. Obviously the 787.5 million settlement that they have to pay out to Dominion Voting Systems, firing the highest rated talk show host in the United States, not just on that network in the entire country for all of cable news, the text message revelations, the revelations of other text messages that we still don't know what's in them. Yeah, it was a bad, uh, month for Fox News, and it turns out it was apparently even worse than we thought because according to the latest route of data, Fox News, even before they fired, Tucker started to see their ratings slip.
Fox News is losing viewers even before they fired Tucker. Carl said the lawsuit, the revelations from the lawsuit, the text message reveals drove viewers away from Fox News in droves. That is definitely not what the network wanted, and that certainly could have played a role in their decision to fire Tucker. They realized that he is at the heart of a lot of this. He was at the heart of the lawsuit. He's at the heart of the text message scandal. He's at the heart of the other text message scandal when we haven't even seen the content of those messages yet. But for the record, in case you're not aware of this, Fox News, according to reports, believed that the intel in those text messages, the ones that we haven't seen yet, they believe that it was so damning that the network was not going to be able to recover ever.
Like they thought Tucker texted something so bad, or multiple things that were so bad, it would've destroyed the network altogether. Like a hundred percent we're done, we're gone. It's over. So that's that, that's gotta be pretty bad, right? I mean, was Tucker talking about like, yes, I just killed 18 people and buried them on my property? Like, how bad could it be to destroy all of Fox News, right? It it has to be pretty extreme because we've seen racism from hosts that have been let go. We've seen, you know, the, the, the womanizing and the harassment and the assault like that wasn't bad enough to destroy the network. But whatever information Tucker had in those text messages was so bad the network would've just shut down. So I really wanna know what's in those messages, as I'm sure everybody else does, but I think we
Should also continue our little victory lap here. Yes, Fox News is gonna replace Tucker with somebody just as gross. Yes, they're still gonna spread their lies. They're still gonna spread hate across the country, but the biggest purveyor of that hate is now gone. The network is losing viewers. The network is losing hundreds of millions of dollars. Yeah, they'll write it off in their taxes, but for now, the money's gonna be gone, that it's gonna hurt 'em for a little bit. So celebrate cuz Fox News just had the worst month of their life and it's not looking like it's gonna get any better anytime soon.
