Nothing is going right for Donald Trump, and he’s losing his mind as a result of it. For the past week, every new poll that has come out has delivered more and more bad news, with the bad news seemingly getting worse with each new poll. It is time to face the reality of the fact that the only reason Trump was even competitive in the first place was because people were tired of President Biden, and now that he’s out, voters are energized and happy, and that’s horrible for Trump. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

It has now been officially over a week since Donald Trump got any good news from any poll. That, of course, was not a ridiculously skewed right wing poll, like the recent Rasmussen poll that showed Donald Trump winning the election by five Points. Um, no other poll, by the way, was able to recreate those results. And Rasmussen does have a history of being right-leaning. But even in that poll, Trump still wasn't even at 50%. So still not great news for him, but all of the rest of the national polls, of course, showed Donald Trump basically getting trounced at this point by Vice President Kamala Harris. And here's the thing, it's not these polls that we need to be paying attention to right at this moment. Uh, they're good and they do mean a lot. Don't get me wrong. I'm not downplaying them, but I think the real polls that we need to consider that tell us why the polls today are what they are, are all the polls that have come out over the last year.
Now, pap and I have talked about these polls relentlessly on America's lawyer for the last year. We have done multiple segments on them. Of course, you can find them all over our YouTube channel. But here's the thing, and this is the, the reality I think that Democrats are not yet embracing, and that is a majority of people in this country for the last year did not want either Trump or Biden on the ballot in 2024. And because up until little over three weeks ago, that was the race. Well, it's not anymore. Actually. It was a little over two weeks ago, not even three weeks yet. But you get the point. People weren't happy. The choices were stale, right? The voters, a majority of voters in this country have already rejected Donald Trump in two different elections. He was saved by the electoral college in 2016. Biden, on the other hand, was able to scrape by in 2020.
And by scrape by, I mean he did win by millions and millions of votes. But the pandemic, right, the Covid pandemic absolutely destroyed. Donald tr Trump's chances of winning people wanted to return to normal. We got it. Things are getting better, but a majority of people still weren't happy with Biden. He has an underwater approval rating. Those are just facts. So once Biden left the race, that anxiety that voters were feeling between, oh God, we gotta choose between these two people, again, went away because it was no longer those same two people that nobody wanted on the ballot. Suddenly we had somebody new, we had somebody younger. We had somebody exciting somebody who by all measures is running one hell of a campaign. So, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from the fact that Kamala Harris is running a great campaign. I, I will be the first to admit she's kicking and deserves full credit for it.
But I think as Democrats, we also have to acknowledge the fact that Biden was hugely unpopular, whether deserved or not, it doesn't matter. Look at the polls. He wasn't popular and people didn't want him on the ballot. So the second he leaves, the second he's off that ballot, all of these fence sitters started migrating into the Democratic party. They were excited. Now, they didn't wanna vote for Trump, but they didn't necessarily think Biden could do it for another four years. And now they don't have to make that distinction. They're not choosing between the, you know, very elderly man and the convicted felon. It's the convicted felon versus the prosecutor. They know that Kamala Harris is gonna be around four years from now.
