Donald Trump has spent years telling us that President Biden is too old to do the job, and now he’s probably wishing that he never made that claim. Another new poll has found that a majority of voters believe that Trump is too old to be president, and too mentally unfit to hold the job. These are the same attacks that Trump leveled against Biden, and now they are coming back to bite him, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

Well, folks, it's a day ending in the letter Y, which means we once again have some really horrible polling data for Donald Trump. And this time the polling data goes just beyond him losing to Vice President Kamala Harris. And this time it actually shows voters concerns about Trump being in office. Now, before I get into the poll numbers, let me just remind everybody that Donald Trump has spent the last three and a half years telling us that President Biden is too old. He is of course, too mentally unstable to be president. His health is failing. The guy simply can't physically do the job, and most of it is because of his age. Now, that, of course, is the message from the Trump campaign and Trump himself. But today, now that Biden is outta the race, voters overwhelmingly think those things about Donald Trump way more than they did just one month ago.
Here is what the new polling data says. This is from morning consult. Uh, voters suddenly view Trump as the decrepit candidate after Biden dropped his campaign. Americans are apparently far more likely to describe Vice President Kamala Harris as healthy mentally fit and a strong leader than the 78-year-old Republican presidential nominee. 71% of respondents agreed that Harris was quote in good health, while 52% said the same about Trump. 6% fewer than believed. The same about Trump. When Biden was the Democratic nominee, the number of respondents who thought that Trump was mentally fit for the job also dropped. Roughly 64% of respondents believe that Harris was mentally fit, while just 48% believe the same about Trump. A 5% drop from before Biden withdrew. So Trump no longer has a majority of American voters who believe that he is mentally fit to do the job, and one, they're correct.
But two, that's a big deal, but it gets even worse. Meanwhile, the number of respondents who believe that Trump is too old for the job rose, whereas just 12% of poll Americans believe that the 59-year-old vice president was too old to be president. 51% thought that Trump had aged out of the position. 7% more than had previously felt the same when Biden was Trump's opponent. So now a majority of Americans say, guess what, Donald? You are the guy that's now too old and too mentally unfit to be president of the United States. And don't worry, folks, it keeps getting worse. Voters also said they were more concerned about Trump's erratic behavior, worsening with age. Should he retake the White House. In November, roughly 82% of polled voters said that Trump's poor decision making and erratic behavior was a major concern. While 75% of respondents listed his inability to communicate
Effectively with the American public US officials and foreign officials, as well as a weakened persec perception of strength on the international stage as other points of major concern. So Trump's too old. Trump is not mentally fit to hold the job. Trump doesn't have the temperament to hold the position. His erratic behavior was cited by 80% of the people in this poll. Those are absolutely shockingly horrible numbers for Donald Trump. There is no way he can spin himself out of this as much as he cries that all the polls out now are fake news. No, they're not. They're reflecting what the voters think. And right now, a majority of voters in this country do not think that Trump can handle the job. I can't imagine that that's going to work out in his favor. Come November.
