Covering a Trump rally is not an easy task for journalists, especially since Trump likes to call them out and level attacks against them in the middle of his speeches. Reporters have now opened up about how these attacks have led to some of the most vicious threats they’ve ever seen, including some MAGA freaks screaming at them that they should be murdered. Journalists have opened up about the fact that life under Donald Trump, both previously and currently, as they cover his rallies, and of course, what could happen should he win the 2024 election, uh, has been hell and would be even worse. Hell for those working in the media, which of course comes as a bit of a surprise because the higher ups at the media outlets, right, the owners, the people out there who get the clicks and likes and shares and subscriptions and all that, they make a ton of money covering Donald Trump, whether it's a cable news outlet, national newspaper, local newspapers, YouTube channels, whatever it is, people make money from covering Donald Trump. But the people whose job it is to go out there and cover this man, as he openly attacks them at his rallies as he's known to do, he will stand up there on stage point at the people in the media, in the back and say they're the enemy of the people. For those people, Donald Trump cannot disappear fast enough because those are the ones getting the death threats. And thanks to a new report from NPR, some of these reporters have been willing to open up about the threats they're receiving from Donald Trump. This is a, uh, from a reporter in Michigan, a hostile crowd quickly surrounded a freelance journalist at a Michigan Trump rally. They began shouting threats at her, including, I hope you're murdered. I hope you're dismembered, and I hope someone rapes you before they murder you.

And that's just one person, one event. And the NPR report goes on to list countless others, and these are just reporters who are there to take notes to maybe get a little bit of video so that they can report on it. They're not from major left wing outlets, right? You're not seeing all of these, you know, Rachel Maddow standing in the back and yeah, of course Republicans are gonna hate her. These are just random reporters with no political agenda covering a news event, and they're being threatened with murder because Donald Trump tells the idiots in that crowd that they are the enemy of the people. And that's just the tip of the iceberg because it's not just the death threats. Reporters are also sounding the alarm right now about what would happen if Donald Trump gets back into office because he has repeatedly pledged to jail journalists for multiple different things, right? They cover something or cover him in a way that he doesn't like. He's gonna sue them. He says they don't give up their sources for a so a story. He's gonna prosecute them and throw them in prison. They do something he doesn't like on the air. He's gonna pull their license and make their network or newspaper or YouTube channel disappear.

Journalism is threatened in the United States, and Donald Trump is one of the biggest threats to it. And don't take it from me. That's what the people who work in the industry are trying to warn us of.
