She talks about a time when she went to the market and noticed the food disparity in how low quality the produce was for Black people. Baszile suggest Black people start talking to local grocery stores about better quality foods, and demand food produced by Black farmers. She then goes one to explain the decline in Black farmers, which has gone from 1 million down to 45,000. The sharp decline is a result of the discriminatory practices of the USDA such as not issuing loans and denying loans.
