6:47Now PlayingA report indicates convicted killer Derek Chauvin is close to a plea deal on the federal charges he is facing for the murder of George Floyd.
Chauvin and the other three officers involved in Floyd's death, Thomas Lane, J. Kueng and Tou Thao, were indicted on U.S. civil rights charges. A federal grand jury accused the officers of violating Floyd's constitutional rights while he was restrained and face down on the pavement as he begged to breathe. Chauvin was recently sentenced to 22.5 years in the state's case against him. BNC justice correspondent Candace Kelley joins "Start Your Day" with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill to discuss the case.
