The Dow went up 54 points as it closed at 34,987.02. The S&P 500 went down 14.27 points to close at 4,360.03 and the NASDAQ dropped 101.82 points to close at 14,543.13. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has said that inflation is higher than the Central Bank is fine with, but to expect prices to return to pre-pandemic levels in the next couple of months.
A report released by the National Urban League called the 2021 “State of Black America” highlights the economic inequities between Black and white people. CEO and president of the National Urban League, Marc Morial, spoke to BNC about the report.
