4:46Now PlayingEconomic disparity is a battle Black and Brown women have faced for decades.
It impacts them and future generations. BNC correspondent Marcel Clarke joins "Start Your Day" with guest hosts Lauren McCoy and Bofta Yimam to highlight how the disparities are affecting their net worth. Reports say Black women are making more than they ever have in history, but the numbers aren't showing it. Anne Price, the President for the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, says, "It is not because they are not working harder." She says they have been doing what they were told they needed to do to be successful, but other factors play a role, including their place in the labor market, family obligations and the glass ceiling.
