Over four million federal employees will need to confirm they are vaccinated or have mandatory testing, regularly, and will be required to wear masks in federal workspaces. Biden has also urged states and local governments to incentivize people to get vaccinated by offering $100 payments to the newly vaccinated, from the Federal Rescue Fund.
This decision comes as the CDC reports that COVID-19 cases are rising in nearly 90% of the country's jurisdictions.
