The plan will invest in families, health care infrastructure and jobs. Lawmakers believe that passing this plan is the first step, then committees will be responsible for writing the reconciliation bill.
Senator Chuck Schumer discusses that after they finish with working on the bipartisan infrastructure bill, they will move on the budget resolution with reconciliation instructions and move to vote shortly afterwards.
Texas Democrats fled the state to Washington D.C. in order to stop the vote on the Republican sponsored voter suppression bill. . Many Democrats will stay in D.C. to keep the pressure on state Congress.
