3:14Now PlayingPresident Biden is sticking to his deadline about getting American troops out of Afghanistan. Biden says his decision is being driven by security risks.
Brian Boyd, an intelligence and counter terrorism expert, joins “BNC Live” to break down the US evacuation efforts. Boyd thinks it will be logistically impossible to get every American troop, ally and their family out of Afghanistan by the August 31 deadline.
Boyd also feels that instead of referring to this as a withdrawal, it needs to be called a surrender, because everything is being dictated by the Taliban and not being negotiated by US forces. Boyd thinks this action will tell America’s allies that American can’t keep its word and right now we are operating from position of weakness rather than strength.
