4:16Now PlayingHurricane Ida, which was a Category 4 storm that touched down on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, wreaked havoc in Louisiana.
Former professional football player Lester Ray Richard evacuated from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to ride out the storm in Shreveport. He joins "BNC Live" with Laverne McGee to discuss the storm's impact. He says the situation is sad, especially because he remembers the devastating effect of Hurricane Katrina on residents. "It's very nerve-wracking," he said, citing that he told the students he coaches to kiss their loved ones and relatives. "We're just praying for the best for everybody," he says.
