Dr. Hebert starts by talking about his family who remain safe in hotels but are living with basically no power at the moment. He discusses hospitals becoming crippled due to COVID-19 cases surging, and hospitals were forced to stop elective cases in the meantime.
Dr. Herbert then explains his frustration with unvaccinated people taking up hospital beds. Now people with heart attacks, strokes, heat exhaustion and asthma attacks can’t even get into the hospital. However, Dr. Herbert makes the point that the hospitals still have power because they learned from Hurricane Katrina that they need to have natural gas generators.
