Johnson, a Black man from Oregon, has been on death row for 20 years after being found guilty of killing a mother of five — despite no physical evidence linking him to the murder. Ryan O’Connor, Johnson’s attorney, joins Yodit Tewolde on “Making the Case” to discuss why his client is still behind bars after his conviction was overturned.
