Dec 1, 20212:30Now PlayingVice President Kamala Harris and transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg are set to travel to North Carolina on Wednesday to push the benefits of President Joe Biden’s infrastructure law.
“BNC Live” host Najahe Sherman says the joint trip is to discuss how the Build Back Better plan will lead to “good paying union jobs” and how funds will be used to upgrade the country’s infrastructure. Reporting live from Charlotte, BNC correspondent Jenye Donaldson discusses how local officials plan to play an important role in disbursing money where it needs to go. While Mayor Vi Lyles says adequate housing and good jobs are important, her priority right now is reducing roadway congestion by building more rails and clean, reliable bus lines to get people moving around the city.
