Dec 1, 202110:25Now PlayingBefore 2020, most people didn’t give supply chains a second thought and in other cases, people didn’t even know what it was, but that has changed due to the current state of the economy.
Now faced with empty shelves and empty stores, as well as higher prices on essential household items, the conversation surrounding supply chains is an important one. President Joe Biden hosted CEOs of big retailers on Tuesday to make sure items are stocked for the holiday season. The president says “things are getting better,” and Dr. Lisa Williams joins “Start Your Day” host Mike Hill to discuss the truthfulness of his claim. Williams, the first African American to receive a doctorate in logistics from Ohio State University, told Hill supply will be able to meet year-end demand, but there are going to be shortages and delays.
