Mason Dean Edmo (aka Adree Edmo) was a guy who was convicted of child molestation. She(?) would now prefer to not identify as a guy (and, presumably, also not identify as a child molester).
As Edmo is currently in prison (because, despite self identification as not-a-child-molester, the State keeps insisting Edmo is one; why isn't the State respecting Edmo's truth as to this?), Edmo is unable to obtain their own gender reassignment surgery without the assistance of the government.
The ninth circuit (because, seriously, who else would do this?) has ruled that Edmo has a right to the gender reassignment surgery, and that since Edmo can't pay for it themselves, the State must provide this surgery at the tax payer's expense.
